Feeling honored to have been able to photograph, now the renown philanthropist of the USA, Yvon Chouinard. What a good man, who at the top of his career gives back to the people of the world who will be battling and combating climate change. Below are a couple tear sheets from my time photographing Yvon.

ben gabbe Photography photographing the New York City Children's Theater 25th Anniversary Gala
Had the pleasure of photographing the New York City Children's Theater Gala at Edison Ballroom in NYC. An expansive space with low light but bringing a flash certainly helped for the cocktail hour. I invite you to take a look at my album of this fundraising event for a wonderful organization. In addition to their great ask of patronage there were some wonderful performances throughout the program. NYCCT promotes children's literacy and social development through eduction and professional theater productions.

Portraits of a Nurse in training
A nurse in training approached me to take portraits of her, to help make her more visually marketable when applying to jobs coming out of nursing school. We thought about her needs for the photos; LinkedIn, medical/professional write ups etc..I had her come to the studio in a professional outfit outside of the medical field and she brought her stethoscope, scrubs and lab coat. We thought this variation in outfits & props were fitting to her photographic needs.
We started with her professional outfit focusing on headshots, three quarter and full length portraits, then brought in the stethoscope. Nervous at first, we added some musical flair to the shoot and she started to feel at ease.
